Why is it my counter strike cant play properly, the graphics have something wrong?

My computer had a virus and i had to delete every single thing.then i reinstalled cs 1.6 with the disk an the graphics looks sucky, u can see the squares, squared as blood, squares as laser. And at the begining they said something about video.Please help me! Thank you
