Does Obama honestly think people buy his "that's negative politics" or "that's old politics" crap anymore

Anytime a person says anything about about his policies or nefarioius connections he just says "that's negative and we need to get away from that" or he claims it's a smear campign, or something equally condescending or obnoxious. Now he has started saying that to anything McCain says. Do people still buy that crap from him? He has been slinging just as much mud as the next guy. If he thinks he can make it through the general election by crying foul every time he is criticized than he's a giant douche bag. Sorry, but it's true. And if you you are blind enough to respond to this question by asking how he is negative, I want you to know I truly, truly feel for you and your naivity.
