Why won't my treadmill start?

i bought a reebok i-run of the argos website some weeks ago and just received it today. I have followed the instructions and set it up correctly it turns on but will not start. I have basically purchased a fairly expensive faulty product and need to wait 5 days before i am contacted by the manufacturer. Can anyone who has had a similar problem help.
