Why do you think the Philadelphia Board of Ed made Central H.S. (formerly all boys) into a coed high school?

This given that Girls' High, less than three hundred meters away, was as academic as C.H.S. What would have been so bad had it stayed an all-boys high school, and what has happened to Girls' High--is it still called Girls' High? Weren't there any other coed academic high schools in some other parts of the City which could have served that purpose? With logic like that, is it any wonder that people such as I left what used to be Philly!
