Procedure to procure a new gas connection in Bangalore, Sarjapur, Please do support me through your experience

I had tried to procure a gas connection but was met with an issue regarding Ration Card, i have my ration card from Kerala which is not accepted in Bangalore. Is there any other procedure through Residence Proof? Anyone willing to share their experiences with me will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
